Since the proliferation of the television in the 1950’s technology has been has been held up as a potential panacea for education reform.  The emergence of the personal computer and the rise of the Internet promised to transform the American classroom yet resulted in few fundamental changes in how teachers teach or how students learn.  So why now? Why will technology now change education in a way that it hasn’t in past decades?

Jaime Casap from Google will discuss why the current revolution in information will leave no classroom untouched and give examples of how the revoltion has already started.
