Limited Capacity seats available

Mindy Hintze has been a teacher for 15 years and has spent most of those years working with at-risk students in both residential treatment and public schools.

For the past six years, Mindy has been with the Granite School District Safe School Training and Educational Placement Program (sSTEP Program) - a program for students who violate the Granite District Safe School and/or Drug and Alcohol Policy. Mindy has used a variety of technology based projects to bring out the best in her students and to help them develop their core content understanding and build their 21st Century skills.

In this session, Mindy will review the projects she has implemented over the past 6 years along with what she has learned from her mistakes. This will be a great session for teachers wondering where to start with technology and for those teachers ready to try something new. Join Mindy for a fast paced overview of classroom use of claymation, stop motion animation, digital storytelling, podcasting, GPS and more!
